The NCAA March Madness Live app has been updated for this year’s college basketball playoffs. If you’ve got just a minute, it’s worth the time. Besides a refreshed look and feel for both Android and iOS-platform mobile devices, several other additions have improved the app’s usefulness.
For one, a new featured section gives fans some of the best stories from the tournament and brings back past moments, with video highlights such as “Shaq’s All-Time Moments” and “Remember That Time? Mario’s Miracle.”
Another new addition to the app gives users easier access to bracket research and to discover Cinderella stories through new team pages.
A third addition improves bracket picking on mobile phones, and allows users to choose teams from a list or bracket view.
Among other existing features the NCAA March Madness Live app streams of all 67 games of the tournament to mobile devices (although paid TV subscriptions are required for games on TBS, TNT and truTV).
Version 5.0.1 of the NCAA March Madness Live app for Apple devices was released on March 12 and requires iOS 7.0 or above.
Version 4.0.0 for Android devices was released on March 11 and requires version 4.0.3 of Android or higher.
Brackets lock on Thursday, March 19th at 12 PM ET.
