Disney has released the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and quite a teaser trailer it is. Highlighted by some amazing acrobatics by the famous Millennium Falcon, the trailer opens with what looks like could be a fan-film, but the one-and-a-half minute trailer soon eases into footage and soundtrack that takes us back to the official franchise that we’ve come to know and love.
The film will star original cast members including Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker, Warwick Davis, and Peter Mayhew. New Star Wars cast members include Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o, John Boyega, and Oscar Isaac.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is being produced by Lucasfilm, Bad Robot, and Walt Disney Pictures. The film will be distributed worldwide by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is slated to hit theaters in December, 2015.
