Starting next month Amazon will launch their first original live-action series created for kids ages 6 through 11. Titled Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street, the series is Amazon’s first greenlit project from Amazon Studio’s open-door pilot submissions process, debuting on Amazon Instant Video in the U.S., Friday, November 21st. Amazon Prime members will have access to all episodes as they are released.
Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street stars Sloane Morgan Siegel (Partners), Ashley Boettcher (Aliens in the Attic), Drew Justice (The Little Rascals Save the Day), and Robyn Lively (Saving Grace, Twin Peaks). The series centers on 13-year old Gortimer and his two best friends, Ranger and Mel who live on Normal Street, a place where they find life is anything but normal.
“We’re thrilled to bring to our customers something exceptional and truly distinctive in today’s kids landscape,” said Tara Sorensen, Head of Kids’ Programming at Amazon Studios.
Non-Prime members can watch the 27-minute pilot episode on Amazon Instant Video free-of-charge. The pilot debuted on the service last February.
