DirecTV subs will get 1 week of NBA League Pass

directv-logo-300pxDirecTV subscribers will get a free week of NBA League Pass when the 2014 season starts Tuesday, October 28th. During the first week of the season, 56 games are scheduled to be played through November 4th. The preview on DirecTV will offer up to 40 out-of-market games to viewers on channels 750 through 768. NBA League Pass also includes NBA League Pass Digital, allowing subscribers to watch NBA games on PCs, tablets and smartphones.

Using NBA League Pass Digital does require an NBA.com account that can be authenticated with a DirecTV or other satellite TV or cable TV customer username and password.

NBA League Pass is also offered with AT&T U-verse, Bright House, Comcast Xfinity, Cox, Dish, Cablevision Optimum, RCN, Time Warner Cable, and Verizon FiOS TV.

We don’t have confirmation of the free preview being offered with any of those providers, but please let us know in the comments below if you’re getting free access during the first week of the NBA season.

[Update: NBA League Pass is offering the free preview to all participating TV providers.]
