Amazon Studios has given the green light to a second season of the original series Transparent starring Jeffrey Tambor. The new series, currently with a 98-percent critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes, was released in full to Amazon Prime Instant Video on September 26, giving subscribers access to all ten episodes to watch on demand. No doubt, releasing the entire season made Transparent the number one binge-watched series on Prime, according to Amazon, with 80% of viewers streaming two or more episodes of the show on the same day. The series was also in the top five for Prime members utilizing Amazon’s X-Ray for Movies and TV feature. Transparent was created by Jill Soloway (Six Feet Under), and along with Jeffrey Tambor cast members include Judith Light (Dallas), Gaby Hoffmann (Girls), Amy Landecker (Louie) and Jay Duplass (Togetherness). The second season of Transparent is slated to release sometime in 2015.
