‘Into the Storm’ Oculus Rift experience at Comic-Con

warner-bros-into-the-storm-oculus-rift-comic-con-san-diego-2014 If you’re at Comic-Con 2014 you might head over the Warner Bros. booth to check out the upcoming film Into the Storm in an immersive virtual reality setting with Oculus Rift. As if the movie isn’t scary enough, those who brave the experience wear the Oculus Rift headset amidst fake winds to simulate being stuck in a storm. The experience was created for Into the Storm using the latest development kit “DK2” for Oculus Rift. Comic-Con International: San Diego runs from July 24 through July 27 at the San Diego Convention Center.

The film, from New Line Cinema in association with Village Roadshow Pictures, releases to theaters in the US on August 8, 2014.

Into the Storm stars Richard Armitage (“The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,” “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug”), Sarah Wayne Callies (TV’s “The Walking Dead”), Matt Walsh (“Ted”), Alycia Debnam-Carey (“Where the Devil Hides”), Arlen Escarpeta (“Final Destination 5”), Nathan Kress (TV’s “iCarly”), Jon Reep (“Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay”) and Jeremy Sumpter (“Soul Surfer,” TV’s “Friday Night Lights”).
