Verizon is now offering FiOS bundled TV, Internet and Phone service with or without a contract for new customers who sign up before April 19, 2014. What’s more, the cost of the service will be locked in with Verizon’s two-year price guarantee. The bundled service includes 55 HD channels (over 215 channels total), an upgrade to FiOS Quantum 50/25 Mbps Internet, and FiOS Digital Voice home phone service with unlimited nationwide calling.
While the no-contract service is perfect for some customers who don’t want to be locked in, Verizon would rather have two-year commitments and will reward those customers with a $250 prepaid Visa card.
“We’re responding to feedback from prospective customers who told us they want to switch to FiOS for the faster speed, greater reliability and clearer images, but they struggle with the notion of signing up for a multiyear contract,” said Mike Ritter, chief marketing officer for the consumer and mass business unit of Verizon.
Verizon had 6.1 million FiOS Internet subscribers and 5.3 million FiOS TV customers by the end of 2014.
