Hulu Plus has announced a distribution agreement with CBS to offer episodes of the drama “Elementary” starring Jonny Lee Miller as detective Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson. The deal will give Hulu Plus subscribers access to complete past seasons of the show after each season has had its run on CBS.
“Elementary has been a strong performer for CBS on-air, online, on VOD and in DVR playback,” said Scott Koondel, Chief Corporate Content Licensing Officer for CBS Corporation.
Starring Jonny Lee Miller as detective Sherlock Holmes and Lucy Liu as Dr. Joan Watson, “Elementary” is a modern-day drama about a crime-solving duo that cracks the NYPD’s most impossible cases. Following his fall from grace in London and a stint in rehab, eccentric Sherlock escaped to Manhattan where his wealthy father forced him to live with his worst nightmare – a sober companion, Dr. Watson.
Hulu Plus offers video-on-demand subscriptions for $7.99 per month and is compatible with PCs, tablets, smartphones and other media devices such as Xbox 360 and Xbox One, PlayStation 3 & 4, Apple TV, and Roku.
