Verizon adds 16 live channels to FiOS Mobile App

Verizon added 16 live TV channels that subscribers can now access through the FiOS Mobile App for tablets and smartphones, even while out-of-home. This brings the total number of live channels available through the app to 25. The new channels include AXS TV, beIN SPORT, beIN SPORT Espanol, Bloomberg Television, Cine Sony Television, Cooking Channel, ENCORE, FEARnet, NFL RedZone (tablet only), SHOWTIME, SHOWTIME EXTREME, Sony Movie Channel, STARZ, Trinity Broadcast, Universal Sports and  TVGN (TV Guide Network). When you’re at home, the FiOS Mobile app will let you watch up to 91 live linear national channels. Verizon last updated the Mobile app for iOS on Nov. 25, while the Android app was last updated a day later on Nov. 26. The updates addressed login problems, fixed various bugs, and added overall stability improvements.
