Looking for FXX on DirecTV? The channel was moved yesterday, Nov. 13, from Channel 619 to Channel 259 on your DirecTV channel guide. FXX is still available in both Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) on the same number. FXX broadcasts popular television series such as Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, How I Met Your Mother, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Parks and Recreation, and The League. The network will premiere a new original series in 2014 titled Legit that stars comedian Jim Jeffries.
FXX is available in DirecTV’s EXTRA package (with over 205 channels), as well as the higher tier Ultimate and Premiere packages. Sibling channels to FXX include FX and FX Movie Channel.
The channel’s programming is targeted towards a male audience between the ages of 18 and 34. On Sept. 2, 2013, the network replaced Fox Soccer Channel. Soccer matches can still be found on Fox Soccer Plus, Fox Sports 1, and Fox Sports 2, with the exception of English Premiere League games which NBC gained the rights to broadcast.
I was really bummed to find out that FXX is missing from my DirecTV lineup! It’s frustrating not knowing if it’s a temporary issue or if it’s gone for good. Does anyone have any updates or insights on what happened?
