Theatrical release date of “Star Trek Into Darkness” moved up to Thursday, May 16.
Next week’s special IMAX sneak preview of Star Trek Into Darkness has sold out in several cities nationwide including Austin, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. However, there are still other IMAX theaters across the country with available seats for the sneak preview scheduled for Wednesday, May 15th 8:00 p.m. IMAX is also providing a limited-edition IMAX FANFIX “Star Trek” Gallery 1988 movie print by Mark Englert while supplies last. According to Paramount, the IMAX release of Star Trek Into Darkness features approximately 30 minutes of footage filmed with IMAX cameras that will expand to fill more of the IMAX screen. As a response to the sneak preview sellouts, Paramount Pictures is moving the theatrical release date of the film one day earlier to Thursday, May 16.
