‘Cops’ moving from FOX to Spike TV

Starting this fall new episodes of “Cops” will move from FOX to Spike TV, the network announced today. When the show moves to Spike TV in September it will keep its long-running Saturday night, 8 p.m. ET timeslot. This month “Cops” concludes its 25th season on FOX, airing over 900 episodes since 1989. Kevin Kay, President, Spike TV says the show is “the perfect addition to [the] primetime lineup on Saturday nights.” He also called the ability of “COPS” to maintain high ratings “a monumental achievement in television.” Spike TV, owned by Viacom, broadcasts in 1080i (HD) and 480i (SD).
