The team at Google was no doubt excited today to announce HBO & Cinemax have been added to the Google Fiber TV channel lineup. The premium channels will, of course, cost you an additional amount per month depending on package. But the additions are making Google Fiber look more and more like a contender every day. HBO is available to customers for $20 per month, and includes HBO, HBO2, HBO Signature, HBO Family, HBO Latino, HBO Comedy, and HBO Zone. Cinemax will cost you $10 per month and include Max, MoreMax, ActionMax, ThrillerMax, WMax, @Max, 5-StarMax, and OuterMax. Google also launched a new premium SP that packs the HBO and Cinemax channels listed above along with Showtime and STARZ brands for $40 per month.
In terms of expansion (usually the hottest topic for those who want to try the service), Google recently announced deadlines for eighteen new neighborhoods based in Kansas and Missouri. Deadlines for sign-up range from April 18 to June 20, 2013. You can check Google’s Fiber Blog for exact dates.
