There will indeed be more Battlefield moments in 2013 and beyond. Developers DICE and publishers EA have announced another installment of the frenetic military shooter will launch this fall. As of now, we only know that Battlefield 4 will be released for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360–no word yet on whether the game will be available for the PS4 or new Xbox console. A new 17-minute gameplay video of BF4 (see below) showcases what DICE’s proprietary Frostbite 3 engine has in store for players later this year. Starting now, pre-orders for the game at any participating retail outlet will include a free Premium expansion pack. While consistently finishing second in sales to Call of Duty in the military shooter wars, Battlefield has amassed millions of players worldwide, and its multiplayer moments on land, sea and air often result in some spectacular sequences.
