If you watch any television at all you’ve probably seen commercials for ABC’s upcoming crime/drama Red Widow. Tonight ABC premieres the new series in a two-hour episode starting at 9 p.m./8 p.m. Central. Red Widow stars Radha Mitchell (Silent Hill, Pitch Black) as housewife Marta Walraven who comes from a family of organized crime. Her drug-dealing husband gets murdered and she ends up torn between protecting her family and cooperating with the FBI. The series was created by Melissa Rosenberg (Twilight) and will consist of eight episodes in its first season. Red Widow also stars Goran Visnjic (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Jaime Ray Newman (Eastwick) and Sterling Beaumon (Clue). You can get a sneak peak on ABC’s Go website or just tune-in tonight for the full 2 hour premiere. ABC will broadcast Red Widow in HD (720p) with 5.1-channel surround sound.
