EPIX will offer a free preview of EPIX HD channels on Dish Network from Friday, Jan. 4 through Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013. The preview will include both EPIX 1 and EPIX 2, available nationwide in 480i (SD) and 1080i (HD) resolution. EPIX is a joint venture between Viacom, MGM, and Lionsgate that broadcasts blockbuster films, documentaries, music concerts, comedy, and sports events. The premium network was launched in Oct. 2009 and now consists of 4 separate channels that include EPIX, EPIX2, EPIX3, and EPIX Drive-In (only available in SD). EPIX HD (the high-definition simulcast of EPIX channels) is carried by Dish Network, Verizon FiOS, Charter, Cox, Mediacom, EPB Fiber Optics, and Suddenlink.
