Sony Computer Entertainment has announced launch dates for the Resistance 3 Public Beta. Those who received access codes through SOCOM 4 will be able to redeem them at the PlayStation Store on August 4th, 2011. Exactly what time, Sony didn’t say. They simply said “at some point” on that day. Other PlayStation Plus subscribers will have to wait a couple weeks until August 23rd.
The Resistance 3 Public Beta will include two maps: “Seaside of Glamorgan, Wales” and “Trainyard in Bogota, Colombia.” Two multiplayer modes will also be included: “Team Deathmatch” and “Chain Reaction.” The beta will allow you to customize and build up your character, however, the beta will cap at level 20.
Resistance 3 was developed by Insomniac Games and runs on the Insomniac Engine v.3.0. The title will be released on September 6, 2011 in North America as both a Standard and Doomsday edition.
