Spike TV awarded Rockstar’s “Red Dead Redemption” the “Game of the Year” award for 2010. The television network hosted its eighth annual Video Game Awards ceremony at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Dec. 11. “Red Dead Redemption” also won three other awards including “Best Song,” “Best Original Score,” and “Best DLC.”
“Mass Effect 2” from developer BioWare took home three awards including “Studio of the Year,” “Best Xbox 360 Game” and “Best RPG.”
Sony Computer Entertainment’s “God of War III” won two prominent awards including “Best PS3 Game” and “Best Graphics.”
“Call of Duty: Black Ops” (Activision / Treyarch) won “Best Shooter” and “Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood” (Ubisoft / Ubisoft Montreal) won “Best Action Adventure Team.”
The most anticipated game went to “Portal 2,” the first person puzzle game developed and published by Valve for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X.
