Square Enix has announced a new Tomb Raider game that will explore the origins of Laura Croft. Developed by Crystal Dynamics, Tomb Raider will take you on Croft’s first adventure, as she learns how an ordinary woman must survive after being shipwrecked and washed ashore on an unknown island.
“Forget everything you knew about TOMB RAIDER,” said Darrell Gallagher, Head of Studio, Crystal Dynamics. “This is an origins story that creates Lara Croft and takes her on a character defining journey like no other.”
Tomb Raider will release for the usual platforms that include PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
The game will be introduced in the January 2011 issue of Game Informer magazine. Tomb Raider will be featured on the cover and get 10 pages of coverage. The January issue will hit the newsstands on Dec. 11.
