Sony Movie Channel in HD kicks off on Dish, DirecTV, and U-verse

Sony Movie Channel has officially launched on Dish Network, DirecTV and AT&T’s U-verse. The channel will show movies in HD from Sony Pictures’ 3,500 title library which includes award-winning features, cult favorites, family comedies and dramas. Among the award-winning titles to broadcast on the channel are The Graduate, Philadelphia, In The Company Of Men, and Das Boot.

“In an effort to meet consumers’ needs, Sony Movie Channel was designed specifically for the Hollywood movie fan,” said Andy Kaplan, president, networks, Sony Pictures Television.

On Dish Network, Sony Movie Channel can be found on 386. On DirecTV’s HD Xtra Pack the channel can be found on 563. And, on AT&T’s U-verse HD Premium Tier the channel can be found on 1791.

Dish Network is giving one of month of free access to Sony Movie Channel to subscribers starting today.

Sony Movie Channel is also available for subscribers on DishOnline.com and on demand to HD Platinum package subscribers.

    Where can one find a SONY HD Movie Schedule page to bookmark? Have looked but have yet to find one like MGM and HD Net Movie do.

    maybe try restarting your receiver it may need a refresh.

    I have uverse but I dont see the channel yet. Should it be on already?
