An announcement from video and game rental company Movie Gallery says they will offer the least expensive rentals in the industry with subscription service PowerPlay. The service will be available from Movie Gallery and Hollywood Video, and will compete with rental service Netflix by offering movie rentals with no late fees or due dates.
With PowerPlay, subscribers will be able to rent library movies for $2.00, new releases for $3.00, Blu-ray DVDs for $4.00, and video games for $5.00.
The rental plan also carries over unused points from one month to the next, so you the get maximum value from your plan.
Movie Gallery operates 3,789 stores in the U.S. and operates under Movie Gallery, Hollywood Video and Game Crazy.
