DIRECTV Delivers Local HD Programming to Mankato, Minn.

DIRECTV is now offering local HD programming to customers in the Mankato, Minn. designated market area. The following broadcast networks are available in HD: KEYC/CBS, KARE/NBC, KMSP/FOX and KSTP/ABC. With the addition of Mankato, DIRECTV now offers local HD broadcast channels in 61 cities, representing more than 70 percent of U.S. TV households.

DIRECTV’s roll out of local HD channels in Mankato is part of a nationwide expansion of HD programming that includes plans to offer local HD channels in up to 75 markets and up to 100 national HD channels by the end of the year 2007.

The new HD channel offering began, Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007.
