Warner Bros will acquire Flixster and movie review site Rotten Tomatoes, the company announced today. Under Warner Bros, the movie website (which focused more on the social/sharing aspect and "discovery" of new movies), will continue to operate separately but will expand its services to digital delivery, content, and ownership.

Say it isn't so! But we weren't holding our breath were we? Bioware says Mass Effect 3 will be delayed until the first few months of 2012. According to executive producer Casey Hudson, "The development team is laser focused on making sure Mass Effect 3 is the biggest, boldest and best game in the series..."

While the news this week has mostly been concerned with wishing Osama bin Laden bon voyage on his trip to Davy Jones Locker, the other biggish news is that of Sony and their seriously f'd up PlayStation Network issues stemming from a hack with criminal intent back in mid-April. Expect the PlayStation Network to be back up any day now... including access for all services. This will require you to complete a new set of security login/user queries prior to full access.
