Gamers who bought the $70 limited-edition version of Halo 3 found they were scratched when first opened. Apparently the packaging caused some surface scratches which don’t seem to affect playing the disc.
Microsoft immediately responded by posting on its Web site details of how to send the disc back for a replacement.
The Xbox 360 hit game Halo 3 went on sale Monday night at midnight for $60. The limited-edition disc is available for $70, and a “legendary” version of the game for $130.
