Netflix has released the official trailer for season five of Black Mirror premiering on Wednesday, June 5th. The season will consist of three new 1-hour stories that “change how you see the world.”
First premiering in 2011, Black Mirror was created by writer/producer Charlie Brooker for the British over-the-air Channel 4. Netflix purchased the show in 2015 and has since produced 3 additional seasons.
In Season 5, American actor Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker, Captain America franchise) stars in the episode titled “Striking Vipers.” Episode 2 titled “Smithereens” stars Irish actor Andrew Scott (Spectre, Victor Frankenstein).
And, pop star Miley Cyrus stars in the unnamed third episode of Black Mirror: Season 5.
