Vudu is currently offering twenty digital movies in SD for just $5 each, and over forty titles in HD for $7.88 each. While we’re not sure if there is any significance to the number $7.88 (it’s close enough to call $8 bucks), it’s a decent price for blockbuster hits such as Contagion, Hurt Locker, I am Legend, Terminator Salvation, and XXX. And, some of the titles are on sale in either format including Cliffhanger, Matilda, Snitch, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Vudu’s HD quality is available in either 720p HD or the higher quality 1080p HDX format. Rentals of each title are also available for between $2.99 and $4.99.
The digital movie purchases on Vudu are connected with UltraViolet, so you can build your online movie library through any Vudu purchases.
