
Disney has revealed the release date for this year’s live action Moana (2026) film starring Catherine LagaÊ»aia and Dwayne Johnson. The movie will first premiere in digital formats for streaming or download on September 8, 2026.
Physical media formats, including 4k Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD arrive on October 6, 2026. The disc options include a Limited Edition 2-disc/digital SteelBook and 2-disc/digital Blu-ray combo.
Bonus features are included on each Blu-ray edition such as a sing-along and movie production featurettes. See details below.
On 4k Blu-ray and in Digital 4k UHD, Moana is presented in 2160p video resolution with Dolby Vision HDR. The soundtrack is offered in Dolby Atmos/Dolby TrueHD 7.1. Optional subtitles are offered in English SDH, Spanish, and French for the main feature.
