We’ve got the home media release dates for The Meg starring Jason Statham. The film will first be available in digital formats on Oct. 30 followed by Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, and 4k Blu-ray on Nov. 13. It’s one of the few movies released to 3D Blu-ray after many studios have abandoned the format.
On Blu-ray and 3D Blu-ray The Meg displays at 1080p and 2.40:1 (16×9) widescreen aspect ratio. On 4k Blu-ray the film is presented in 2160p at 16×9 aspect ratio with HDR (Dolby Vision) color enhancements. All three disc formats feature Dolby Atmos / TrueHD audio backed by a DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack.
Extra bonus material includes the featurettes “Creating the Past” and “Chomp on This: The Making of The Meg.” All Blu-ray combos also include a digital copy that can be redeemed from Movies Anywhere. The code included with the Ultra HD Blu-ray edition can be redeemed to Digital 4k/HDR with the right service.
