We’ve got the official release dates for Red Sparrow starring Jennifer Lawrence on Blu-ray ($19.99), Ultra HD Blu-ray ($24.99) and DVD ($14.99). The film will be available on disc, as well as On Demand, starting Tuesday, May 22. We expect an early digital release of Red Sparrow on either May 8 or May 15, but don’t have confirmation of those dates yet.
On Ultra HD Blu-ray Red Sparrow is presented in 2160p with HDR (High Dynamic Range) color. The English soundtrack is offered in Dolby Atmos backed up by Dolby TrueHD 7.1. We don’t have specs yet on any bonus material but will let you know when available. [Update: Bonus materials include six production featurettes and 13 minutes of deleted scenes. (See below for more details.)
The film will also be available in an exclusive 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray Steel Book edition (pictured below) from Best Buy ($29.99).
Red Sparrow is based on the book by Jason Matthews in which a Russian-trained assassin’s first job is to eliminate a United States CIA agent. The film was directed by Francis Lawrence and stars Jennifer Lawrence as former ballerina turned “Red Sparrow” Dominika Egorova.
