Comcast customers will soon have easy access to NPR on their set-top boxes as the company rolls out the app to Xfinity X1 platform. What’s more, the company says customers will be able to use voice commands using the Xfinity voice remote control.
To access the NPR app simply request “NPR” or “NPR One” using a voice command, or, look for NPR programs that should begin showing up on the X1 menu screens.
“NPR has created a very personal listening experience with the NPR One app and we look forward to giving longstanding and new fans the ability to access the public radio programming they want directly on the TV, with just the sound of their voice.” said VP of Strategy and Execution at Comcast Cable, Nancy Spears.
“NPR One feels right at home on X1, bringing the best local and national news, along with your favorite podcasts, in a personalized experience that gets smarter the more you listen.” said NPR’s Senior Director of Digital Products, Joel Sucherman.
