FandangoNow Update Supports DTS Headphone:X

fandangonow-logo-on-blkThe FandagoNow Movies & TV app has just been updated to support DTS Headphone:X technology for immersive audio surround sound when listening with headphones.

There are quite a few movies that include a DTS:X soundtrack (the other popular alternative being Dolby Atmos) such as Atomic Blonde, Terminator 2, Serenity, and the remastered Harry Potter collection in 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.

As of now it appears only the FandangoNow app for Apple iOS devices has been updated to support audio in DTS Headphone:X, since the last time the Android version had an update was in November. However, we’d expect an update soon from the Fandango app development team.

The version 3.3.2 iOS app is free to download from iTunes. Fandango is an UltraViolet partner so all your UV-redeemed movies should show up in the Fandango library once connected via a shared email address.
