The rock musical Across the Universe starring Evan Wood and Dana Fuchs will release to 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray on Jan. 9. The film, directed by Julie Taymor, re-imagines America during the turbulent late-1960s and Vietnam war set to the music of The Beatles.
On 4k Blu-ray, Across the Universe is formatted in 2160p with High Dynamic Range color enhancements via the HDR10 specification. The English audio soundtrack is provided in Dolby Atmos backed by Dolby TrueHD 7.1.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s Blu-ray combo edition includes an extra Blu-ray disc and Digital Copy redeemable with a special code.
Across the Universe on Ultra HD Blu-ray edition has a list price of $30.99 but is currently available to pre-order from Amazon for $22.24.
