‘The Dark Tower’ Blu-ray & 4k pre-order & release date info

The-Dark-Tower-Blu-ray-4k-2upSony Pictures’ film The Dark Tower based on the books by Stephen King has been scheduled to release on Blu-ray, 4k Blu-ray, and DVD. All three discs will hit stores on Oct. 31st, as well as On Demand, following an early digital release on the 17th.

On 4k Blu-ray, The Dark Tower is presented in 2160p at 2.40:1 widescreen aspect ratio, with High Dynamic Range (HDR) color depth via Dolby Vision. The soundtrack is provided in multi-channel Dolby Atmos, as well as Dolby TrueHD 7.1.

Extra bonus materials on the Blu-ray editions include deleted scenes, blooper reel, and five movie featurettes such as “The Gunslinger in Action” and a tribute to the novels in “Last Time Around.” A digital copy of the movie is redeemable through UltraViolet.

Synopsis:

Based on the best-selling book series by highly-acclaimed author Stephen King. With the fate of the worlds at stake, good and evil will collide in the epic battle as only Roland can defend the Tower from the Man in Black.
