Netflix has released the official trailer for, what was once and may still be, their flagship series House of Cards starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright. The series returns to Netflix on May 30 with thirteen, 51-minute episodes beginning with Episode 1 – Chapter 54.
In the new season, Frank Underwood campaigns to maintain his position as the most powerful figure in the world, with partner Claire Underwood at his side.
“The American people don’t know what’s best for them,” says President Underwood in the trailer. “I do,” he adds, “I know exactly what they need.”
The just-over one-minute trailer encapsulates a power hungry Underwood, one who appears to be set on keeping his position for much more than the allowed two terms.
“One nation, Underwood,” are the last words of Francis Underwood as the trailer ends.
Is House of Cards still Netflix’s flagship series? If not what other title would it be? Any of the Marvel series? The new show Thirteen Reasons Why? If any would challenge HOC it would likely be Orange Is The New Black, although Stranger Things Season 2 may be one of the most anticipated upcoming Netflix Originals.
