Paramount Pictures has officially announced the release dates for the sci-fi drama Arrival on Blu-ray Disc, 4k Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
Like other new home media releases, Arrival will be available first in Digital HD format on January 31st (quite possibly UHD as well). Then, two weeks later the film will release to Blu-ray, 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray, DVD, and On Demand on February 14, 2017.
The Blu-ray releases will include over an hour of bonus materials with the five production featurettes titled “Xenolinguistics,” “Acoustic Signatures,” “Eternal Recurrence,” “Nonlinear Thinking,” and “Principles of Time, Memory & Language.”
The Blu-ray combo includes a DVD copy, while the 4k Blu-ray includes a Blu-ray copy. Each two-disc Blu-ray combo edition from Paramount Home Media also packs a redeemable code to get a Digital HD copy through UltraViolet.
On Blu-ray, Arrival is presented in 1080p Full HD with English 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and English Audio Description. On 4k Blu-ray, the film is formatted in 2160p Ultra HD with HDR (High Dynamic Range) color. The soundtrack is also available to play in English 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio for systems that support it.
