New HD channels are few and far between these days, but there remain some networks that just aren’t available in high definition through certain TV service providers.
Oxygen has been broadcasting in 1080i since 2011, but up until now the network has been only available in standard definition (SD) on DirecTV.
That’s changed now with the launch of Oxygen HD channel on DirecTV Channel 251.
Oxygen airs women-focused TV series such as Bad Girls Club (now in its 16th season), “Last Squad Standing,” “The Wilkersons,” and “Snapped.”
Oxygen is also available in HD on AT&T U-verse (Ch. 1368), Verizon FiOS (Ch. 644), Dish Network (Ch. 127), and other cable TV providers. Check your guide for the HD version of the show.
