Starved for more 4k content? All four movies from Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games franchise are now available to purchase in 4k on Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc.
The Hunger Games (2012), The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013), The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 (2014), and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 (2015) were all previously available on Blu-ray, but these new UHD BD editions deliver 4-times the video resolution on 4k TVs.
The Ultra HD video is formatted in 2160p at 2.40:1 widescreen aspect ratio, with enhanced color depth through High Dynamic Range (HDR) specifications for TVs that support it.
For audio, the Ultra HD Blu-ray editions of The Hunger Games movies feature high quality soundtracks in both Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 when playing in the titles’ native English language.
Each edition also includes a 1080p Blu-ray Disc copy with previously-released bonus features, as well as Digital HD copies from either iTunes or UltraViolet.
All of the Ultra HD Blu-ray editions are currently selling for $16.99 on Amazon (which your local Best Buy or Target may price match), with the exception of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 that’s priced at $22.99.
