In the world of premature Fox cancellations we are all relieved that Lucifer got a second season, and boy is it going to be the mother of all episodes (please excuse the pun). This season we get to meet the literal mother of Satan, and not just feeling like you’ve met her after a White Castle crave case.
It’s no surprise that a mother from hell won’t be up to any good. According to Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Ildy Modrovich says that “What mom wants is going to break Lucifer’s heart.” You can add that to the many lists of things he can talk to his therapist about.
Season 2 of Lucifer premieres tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT, 8 p.m. Central. If you haven’t seen the preview for the new season yet, check it out below.
