USA Network’s Mr. Robot Will Return For Third Season

mr-robot-no-title-1024pxUSA Network’s Mr. Robot will return for a third season, the network announced today. The show stars Rami Malek as hacker/cybersecurity expert Elliot Alderson who is recruited by the anarchist leader Mr. Robot played by Christian Slater.

Mr. Robot won two Golden Globes for Best Television Series – Drama and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series.

The series is currently mid-way through it’s second season, with Episode 7 scheduled to air on USA Network August 17th. Season 1 consisted of 10 episodes, while Season 2 will air 12 episodes.

“We couldn’t be more proud of Mr. Robot, a series that has pushed boundaries, captured the cultural zeitgeist, and been honored as one of the best dramas on television,” said Chris McCumber, President, Entertainment Networks for NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment.

USA Network broadcasts in 1080i (HD) for HDTV and 4k TV sets, and 480i (SD) in letterbox format for standard-definition sets.
