Walt Disney Studios Japan has released a new trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens that reveals some footage that we’ve haven’t seen before, including some chirps from the droid BB-8, Rey (Daisy Ridley) mentioning her family, and her meeting Finn (John Boyega) for the first time. The one-and-a-half minute trailer is complete with Japanese titles, plenty of action sequences, and Harrison Ford’s previously-released cameo in which he affirms, “The Force, it’s true, all of it.” The trailer ends with a voiceover from Maz Kanata played by Lupita Nyong’o in which she proclaims, “Hope is not lost today, it is found.” Overall the trailer seems to be focused on Rey and her path in the film, which may be an indication of the main plot in the script. The 136-minute Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens film opens in the U.S. on December 18th, followed by the premiere in Los Angeles on December 14th.
