mi-5-kit-harrington-still1You’re probably already familiar with MI6 (the British Military Intelligence) from the James Bond franchise. But in the U.S. you may not be familiar with MI-5, a UK television series from the BBC that ran from 2002-2011 based on the British Military Intelligence, Section 5 known as MI5. Now, the series has been turned into a motion picture starring English actor Kit Harrington of the Game of Thrones series from HBO. MI-5 was directed by Bharat Nalluri (Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day), with screenplay written by David Magee and Simon Beaufoy. Tuppence Middleton (The Imitation Game), Peter Firth (The Hunt for Red October), and Elyes Gabel (World War Z) also star in the film. MI-5 will be distributed in the U.S. by 20th Century Fox, slated to release to theaters on December 4th, 2015.
