‘The X-Files’ Teaser Trailer and Series Countdown from FOX

FOX Broadcasting has released a teaser trailer for the revival of the much-loved TV series The X-Files. The extremely short, 15-second teaser doesn’t reveal much about the upcoming series, but does give viewers a glimpse of returning actors David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. The new season will premiere on January 24, 2016 on FOX. The X-Files, during its nine-season run, earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award.

Also, check out the “201 Days Of The X-Files” video down below from FOX. For a period of 201 days, every episode of the nine seasons of The X-files will be played daily in order, leading up to the new season premiere. The countdown started on July 7, 2015 but it’s not too late to catch up.

“Thirteen years after the original series run, the next mind-bending chapter of THE X-FILES will be a thrilling, six-episode event series helmed by creator/executive producer Chris Carter, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson re-inhabiting their roles as iconic FBI Agents FOX MULDER and DANA SCULLY. This marks the momentous return of the Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning pop culture phenomenon, which remains one of the longest-running sci-fi series in network television history. Production on THE X-FILES event series is set to begin in summer 2015.”
