Comcast announced this week they would be doubling the amount of recently-aired PBS content available on demand through the Xfinity TV platform. This means more current episodes of shows such as Downton Abbey on Masterpiece, American Masters, and Antiques Roadshow will be accessible to Xfinity TV customers with set-top boxes capable of delivering on demand content, as well as through the Xfinity TV Go website and apps for iOS and Android devices.
Over 50 PBS television series are included in the deal. And, according to the press release, local PBS stations will be recognized on the Xfinity TV menu guide in an effort to provide PBS with promotional opportunities.
“Xfinity On Demand and Xfinity TV Go are go-to sources for customers who want to catch up and stay current on their favorite TV shows, and the addition of PBS’ original programming brings even more high-quality, award-winning programming to the platforms.”
