Comcast announced they now offer over 70 live channel options through the Xfinity TV Go app, expanding the goal of offering TV Everywhere that most service providers are striving for. Newly added channels include AMC, BBC America, FOX Deportes, MOVIEPLEX, Showtime, Univision Deportes and The Weather Channel among others. In addition to the live streaming channels, Comcast says over 21,000 titles are available to stream on mobile devices On Demand. The Xfinity TV Go app is available for Android and Apple iOS mobile devices, including iPads and iPhones. Unfortunately, the new additions don’t include the HBO. But with Showtime and Starz premium channels, Xfinity customers will have plenty of movie titles and original series to choose from. Comcast boasts the Xfinity TV Go app has been downloaded more than 11 million times. And, the MSO reports that viewing content on the Xfinity TV Go app has gone up 40-percent from last year, with the average viewer watching over 7 hours per month through the TV Everywhere apps.
