If you’ve recently updated the DISH Anywhere app on your Android or iOS tablet you may have noticed it looks quite a bit different. The app has been completely redesigned, using more image-based navigation for sliding through available titles. The update organizes personalization much better, with easier access to recently watched content, recommended programs, and a Watchlist created from your input. There’s also the ability to organize content by Showcase, DVR, Transfers, On Demand, Favorites, or by categories such as TV Shows, Movies, Sports and Family. The update also includes a What’s Hot section to view the most popular programs being watched.
In addition to the design revisions, the DISH Anywhere app adds a remote control for DISH receivers, and allows Hopper customers to turn on and control the volume of their TVs. The DISH Anywhere apps is available on Apple iPad, Android and Kindle tablets, as well as iOS and Android phones.
