Verizon will offer multiple platform viewing of the Sochi Winter Olympics, including authenticated access to programming via NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports Live Extra app for mobile devices and tablets. The NBC website will provide, for the first time, live streaming of all competitions in the Winter Games as well as event rewinds and video highlights.
On smartphones and tablets, NBC is offering two ways to watch Winter Games content: 1. Via the NBC Sports Live Extra app; and 2. using the NBC Olympics Highlights and Results app. Once authenticated using a Verizon FiOS TV username and password, subscribers can watch live and replay events via the NBC Sports Live Extra app or highlights, schedules, results, columns and more via the NBC Olympics Highlights and Results app.
The NBCUniversal coverage will total over 1,500 hours of the Winter Games, including every Olympic competition viewable live and on-demand. Networks that will carry 2014 Winter Olympics programming include NBC, NBC Sports Network (NBCSN), MSNBC, CNBC and USA Network.
The Olympic coverage starts on Thursday, Feb. 6 and ends on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014.
