Mitt Romney documentary debuts on Netflix January 24

Ready to relive Election 2012!? *shudder* OK, maybe ‘relive’ is a strong word but Mitt, a Netflix original documentary about Mitt Romney’s presidential run, will indeed be mostly about the 66-year-old Republican’s run for the White House.

Filmmaker Greg Whiteley was granted full access to Romney and crew from Christmas 2006 through his concession speech a little over a year ago. And speaking of that speech, it appears he needed a little help in crafting it that night, as seen in the movie’s just-released trailer.

The 2:19 trailer shows clips of Romney on the campaign trail, giving credit to President Obama’s debating skills, getting support from his family, and ironing his shirt sleeves while wearing his shirt. “I just can’t believe you’re going to lose,” says his son, Craig. “Yeah, yup,” responds Mitt. “By the way, does someone have a number for the president?” Later, his wife Ann says to “I would not want to do this again. It’s too much.”

Mitt debuts January 24 on Netflix streaming.
