AT&T’s launches U-verse GigaPower in Austin, TX

AT&T has launched their 300 Mbps U-verse GigaPower internet service in Austin, TX. The all-fiber service is a 20x improvement in internet upstream feeds, with packages starting at $70 per month. The increased bandwidth allow quicker streaming and download speeds for music, movies, TV shows, and other web-based media. AT&T says they will be rolling out the service to additional areas in the city throughout 2014, including French Place, Mueller, Zilker and Onion Creek. “Our all-fiber network enables U-verse with GigaPower to give Austinites the fastest speeds available to consumers in the city,” said Dahna Hull, AT&T’s vice president and general manager for Austin.
