DIRECTV is making some HD channel changes we thought you should know about. Starting July 31, there are 15 channel adjustments affecting high-definition networks such as The Movie Channel, IFC, HDNet Movies, Hallmark Movie Channel, and Smithsonian Channel. All of the channels fall in the high 500’s. And, in most cases, the networks are only moving less than five clicks away from their current location.
DIRECTV didn’t say exactly why the networks will be moved. Channel rearrangements are sometimes made to make more space on the bandwidth for HD channels. But, considering there are only three SD channels affected: The Movie Channel West, FLIX, and Sundance; this may not be the case.
DIRECTV notes that programming will continue without interruptions. And, your Favorite Channels feature and DVR settings should not be affected.
See the table below and make note of the DIRECTV channel lineup:

I don’t understand y we were told of no service interuptions but yet all these channel are not available. We only get the DTV logo and crappy music.
Universal HD On Week
If there is not going to be any service interruption then why can’t I get any of these channels? All I get is the DIRECTV emblem and music. 7/19/13
