Comcast has doubled its available internet speeds for customers in several states including Arkansas, Indiana, and Michigan. The increased speeds come at no additional cost to customers who subscribe to the Blast! and Extreme 50 internet service plans. Customers with Blast! service will get twice the download speed with an increase from 25 Mbps to 50 Mbps (with 10 Mbps upload speed). Extreme 50 customers will get more than twice the internet speed with an increase from 50Mbps to 105 Mbps (20 Mbps upload). To experience the faster speeds you’ll need to restart your cable modem.
“Whether chatting, surfing, streaming, gaming, Skyping or downloading, families will get the superfast, high-performing Internet service they need, with no extra charge,” said Tim Collins , Comcast Regional Senior Vice President.
Comcast says Performance plan subscribers will see increased speeds of over 60% starting in April.
